Give Us a Break"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">June used to be known for Father&#8217;s Day, Flag Day and Summer Solstice.  In the Age of Woke, now it&#8217;s known as <em>Pride Month<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"186\" class=\"wp-image-4900\" style=\"width: 350px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/drag-queen-demon-620x330-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/drag-queen-demon-620x330-1.jpg 620w, https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/drag-queen-demon-620x330-1-300x160.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apparently, celebrating one&#8217;s sexuality with all the colors of the rainbow requires a full month rather than a day like President&#8217;s Day or a week like Easter Holy Week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">For those who worship at the altar of Diversity, Inclusivity and Equity (DIE), June is the calendar&#8217;s official virtue signaling month. You doubt me? Check out all the social media messaging and virtual signaling by companies, organizations and media outlets paying homage to alternative lifestyles and demanding everyone do the same. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s like all those buckling under to the LGBTQ lobby think Genesis 1:27 was just a helpful suggestion from God to inspire humans to think outside the gender box.  <\/p>\n\n\n<div style=\"text-align:center;\">\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"636\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3iV8X8ubGCc\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">As I mentioned in an <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/index.php\/2022\/01\/03\/ten-fearless-predictions-for-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>earlier post<\/strong><\/a>, LBGTQ proponents would have us believe that the rainbow in Noah&#8217;s day is proof that multiple genders of animals boarded the ark and that God signed off supporting LBGTQs with a technicolor signature.<br><br>Today June is awash in rainbow colors celebrating the LGBTQ movement and all the sexual diversity it represents. Pride Month is like a grab bag of Skittle preferred pronouns and more imaginary genders than a transgender MIT mathematician can calculate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the first few days of June are any indication of what we have to look forward to all month, somewhere over the Pride Month rainbow is July and it can&#8217;t get here soon enough for me.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"wp-image-6763\" style=\"width: 300px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Marine-Helmet.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Marine-Helmet.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Marine-Helmet-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Marine-Helmet-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Marine-Helmet-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Marine-Helmet-440x250.jpg 440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier this week the U.S. Marines Corp tweeted a photo of rainbow-painted bullets in the strap of a combat helmet inscribed with \u201cProud to Serve.&#8221; Our enemies are laughing so hard they won&#8217;t be able to shoot straight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s interesting that State Department embassies giddily promoting Pride Month by flying the rainbow flag won&#8217;t fly it in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatewaypundit.com\/2022\/06\/government-kuwait-summons-us-diplomat-tweet-celebrating-pride-month-quoting-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Muslim countries<\/strong> <\/a>where homosexual behavior is illegal and punishable by death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s also fascinating that woke teams like the NBA&#8217;s Brooklyn Nets <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-sitetext-color\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/pjmedia.com\/columns\/stephen-kruiser\/2022\/06\/02\/the-morning-briefing-pride-month-pandering-is-beyond-wearisome-n1602624\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>enthusiastically celebrate Pride Month<\/strong><\/a><\/mark> by designing a Pride flag to post on Twitter while the NBA turns a blind eye to Chinese genocide and imprisonment of Uyghurs and other mostly Muslim ethnic groups.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When it comes to celebrating alternative sexual lifestyles, the NBA and scores of other woke entities lead the fast break to the rainbow bandwagon, though gay or transgender Uyghurs apparently aren&#8217;t included in the Pride Month festivities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"350\" class=\"wp-image-6755\" style=\"width: 350px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Brookly-Nets.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Brookly-Nets.jpg 680w, https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Brookly-Nets-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Brookly-Nets-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/columnists\/larryoconnor\/2022\/06\/02\/it-cometh-before-the-fall-n2608134\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>talk show host and Town Hall columnist Larry O&#8217;Connor<\/strong><\/a> noted recently, society seems to have &#8220;conflated the idea of not being ashamed of our sexual nature with being proud of it instead.&#8221; As O&#8217;Connor points out though, if LGBTQ folks are born that way, what exactly are they so proud of? I have a full head of hair, hazel eyes and am heterosexual but don&#8217;t consider those traits worthy of a flag or a parade. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Okay, maybe my hair, though the gray and thinning helps keep me humble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those who think the DIE philosophy and hedonistic sacraments like Pride Month are spiritual experiences worth celebrating, the Bible is clear with its admonition that &#8220;Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.&#8221; (Proverbs 16:18 NIV) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Put another way, haughtiness and hubris lead to failure and loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"233\" class=\"wp-image-6017\" style=\"width: 350px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Levine.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Levine.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Levine-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.deanriffs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Levine-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 350px) 100vw, 350px\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This post won&#8217;t stop the rainbow-tinged kowtowing to the sexually woke this month, but at least now I can enjoy my rainbow sherbet and M&amp;M&#8217;s with a clear conscience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Thanks for reading Dean Riffs.
