I\u2019d read the media reports about Special Counsel Robert Mueller\u2019s latest episode clambering down the Trump-Russian collusion rabbit hole – halfway across the world no less – but decided to check things out for myself.<\/p>\n

Two days later I found Mueller and a small team of lawyers aboard a luxury yacht off the coast of Seychelles.\u00a0 At least I assume they were lawyers.\u00a0 Most were wearing loosened Brooks Brothers suit ties with their swim trunks and sunglasses.<\/p>\n

Apparently his Special Counselness appreciated the time away as I found him jovial and receptive to my questions.<\/p>\n

How\u2019s the fishing?<\/strong>
\n“Worth the trip! We\u2019ve had some promising nibbles of corruption and Russian cronyism since anchoring here.\u00a0 It may look like we\u2019re casting too wide a net here on the east coast of Africa looking for Trump\u2019s Russian collusion, but it\u2019s out there \u2013 we just know it!”<\/p>\n

So you\u2019re fishing for collusion?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Oh yeah! That\u2019s what taxpayers are paying us for. Don\u2019t let the rumors we\u2019ve gathered no proof the past year fool you.\u00a0 The facts that the Russians tried to influence the last presidential campaign by bribing Trump and his campaign team is as plain as the fact Hillary would have won<\/span><\/strong><\/a> if it weren\u2019t for some illegal leaking of classified information.”<\/p>\n

Speaking of leaks, don\u2019t you have that problem yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“We\u2019re leaking?! Omigosh, where\u2019s the life preservers?!”<\/p>\n

I was speaking about the leaks coming from your legal team. And isn\u2019t it true that your hiring was based on your pal Jim Comey leaking classified information to a friend who in turn leaked to the New York Times<\/em>?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Look here.\u00a0 We\u2019ve got some excellent leads on Trump-Russian collusion<\/span><\/strong><\/a> that led us here to this remote island location far away from boring grand juries and Fox News<\/em>.\u00a0 Trust me; the president\u2019s house of cards will be coming down as soon as we connect those dots our witnesses left us like bread crumbs on these pristine waters. Caviar?”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We know you are looking at Blackwater founder Erik Prince\u2019s involvement with a United Arab Emirates contact.\u00a0 Prince never held a formal role in the Trump campaign, transition team or the administration. What gives?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re merely following the evidence where it leads, and specifically whether the UAE was trying to buy political influence by supporting the Trump campaign.\u00a0 Vodka?”<\/p>\n

You mean like Hillary Clinton was doing with donations to the Clinton Foundation?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“That\u2019s not in our purview.\u00a0 Our mandate is to prove collusion<\/span><\/strong><\/a> between Russia and Trump to unduly influence our election.\u00a0 And we won\u2019t quit our first class worldwide jet-setting, nosing in 20-year-old business deals and spending the taxpayers\u2019 money until we do!\u00a0 And that’s a promise you can take to the Clinton Foundation bank!”<\/p>\n

So you\u2019re trying to prove the president is guilty of what Hillary did, even though there\u2019s plenty of evidence of Hillary\u2019s complicity and absolutely none with Trump?<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Exactly!\u00a0 Everyone knows Hillary\u2019s guilty and the Clinton Foundation was a cash cow for her and Bill, so there\u2019s no need for lawyers to prove any of that.\u00a0 The money to be had in that case is proving their innocence and frankly, who wants that job?!”<\/p>\n
